“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Christ The Shepherd
Est. MMXXVI
Welcome to Christ The Shepherd. We’re a Reformational Anglican parish in Eagle, ID devoted to following Jesus and proclaiming Jesus in what we say and by how we live. Our community includes young adults, growing families, and couples and individuals across every stage of life. We worship the Triune God together using a liturgy, we feast weekly at the Lord’s Table, and we seek Christ in all of Scripture. Prayer is the pattern of our lives. The gospel is our redemption, and proclaiming the gospel is our mission.
We’re a new church plant, sent out of Christ The Redeemer in Nampa, ID in 2026. Don’t let the word “plant” scare you, though. We don’t measure success by numbers nor by business; faithfulness to Christ is our aim.

Reformational Anglicanism
Rooted in the English Reformation of the 1500s, Anglicanism is a rich tradition offering a gospel-centered way of life and worship. The tradition might be old, but Anglicanism proves relevant today. Anglicanism answers questions related to the search for meaning in our post-everything culture by passing on the ancient wisdom of the Apostles. For the untethered wanders in our modern era, who long for historical rootedness, the Anglican Church tethers herself to the historic church by holding to the authority of Scripture, the ancient Christian Creeds, and by affirming the first four church councils. Finally, if you desire genuine change, both personally and in society, Reformation Anglicanism's understanding of how to renew human affections is the most authentic way to achieve human flourishing.*
Beliefs
We hold fast to the ancient gospel as delivered by Jesus Christ, contained in the Holy Scriptures, passed on by the Apostles, and safe-guarded by the church filled with the Holy Spirit.
To learn more about our beliefs, you can read the Jerusalem Declaration, a reaffirmation of the global Anglican communion’s faith in the supremacy of Christ, the necessity to preach His gospel, and the authority of His Word.
As Anglicans, we also hold to the confession, The 39 Articles of Religion. This confession is a product of the Reformation and was an effort to restate biblical truth in response to medieval errors.
Finally, you could read our Catechism, To Be A Christian, or our liturgical guide, the Book of Common Prayer.
